A set of 6 dining room chairs that was stored in the garage far too long. They needed structual repairs and new upholstery.

After accidentally falling over, the back of this antique sidechair from the late 1800's needed extensive repair.

The repair was to puzzle the pieces back together and carefully re-attached the delicate joints .

This antique chair was restored to be a beautiful and functional piece of furniture once again.

A family heirloom, this table saw some hard knocks along with the game play. One of the carved front curls had broken off, as well as the rope molding in a number of places.

A chunk of wood had split off from the leg in a back corner, and more rope molding was missing.

This shows the wood replaced on the back leg, and new carved rope molding before it was stained to match the rest of the piece.

The front curl, and the ends of the rope molding were carved from new oak, and matched in shape and color to the original work.

Finally, the whole top was refinished on both sides, as the upper part could open and rotate to create a larger playing surface. There is also a big drawer that opens in the front. Fully restored for more game play.
ANTIQUE HOOSIER
The bottom section of this kitchen Hoosier (made popular in the first half of the 1900's), needed major repair after flying out of an open trailer. Two of the feet, numerous other parts, and a dozen torn and cracked areas needed wood replaced and repaired. The left hand door had to be put back together, and the whole drawer section was fixed and re-assembled.

Luckily the drawers were not in the cabinet when it shattered, but they too needed some repair and a re-fit. All the new work was stained to blend into the original finish.

The hoosier ended up super sturdy and in better working order than before the restoration. It was then reunited with the marble counter and top section. A treasured piece of furniture ready for more useful service.

This garden chair was discolored from the weather, and had a large piece of wood missing from around the folding hinge.

New wood was spliced onto the leg to re-attach the hinge, making sure it could still fold up. The teak wood was restored to its original color and treated with tung oil.

OAK DESK
The drawer section of this well loved antique desk had totally come apart and was missing some bottom cross pieces. There were also door and drawer issues, and a cracked corner on the desktop.

The drawer section was re-assembled with newly fabricated cross pieces and quite a few drawer stops. The drawers needed major repairs as well.

Now together again, the repairs and replacements were stained to blend in, making the desk look and work as good new.

This well used rocker had a pressed cane seat that needed replacing. The finish could use a touchup and renewal as well.

New cane was installed, starting out light in color which will darken with age. The wood was cleaned and oiled to a fresh luster.
